About Cynthia Valdez

   Cynthia Valdez is an artist based in Dallas, TX, United States. She is currently a student at the University of North Texas completing her BFA with a focus in Sculpture. Cynthia has experimented with many forms of art but concentrates mainly on her scratch-board pieces and sculptures. Her earlier works depict experimentation with the different mediums which allowed her to express different ideas. Ideas of which were also inspired from imagination and the whimsical dream world. She is currently working on a fine arts series called Blight, which focuses on infestations and contamination relating to both herself and the world around her. Cynthia is always experimenting with different mediums and continues to explore techniques to better improve her skills. For example, she constantly increases her scratch-board techniques with every commission she receives.
